WEST PALM BEACH – Making the case for his father to receive a second term in office, Donald Trump Jr. touted President Trump’s record on the economy Friday while attacking the polices of former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic nominee.
“You have a president that created the strongest economy America has ever known,” the younger Trump told hundreds who attended a campaign rally at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport in West Palm Beach.

Trump spoke for about 45 minutes during the second of two appearances in Florida, a key battleground state in the race for the White House. He spoke earlier in the day at rally in Clearwater and is scheduled to hold another rally Saturday in Ormond Beach.
Trump began his remarks in West Palm Beach by recognizing U.S. Brian Mast, the Palm City Republican who is seeking a third term representing Florida’s 18th congressional district, which includes much of northern and western Palm Beach County.
“This is someone who gets it,” Trump said, urging voters to return Mast to Congress. “This is someone who served their country and understands what’s at stake.”
Mast is opposed by Democratic candidate Pam Keith, a Navy veteran and a lawyer.

Many in the crowd waved “Make America Great Again” signs and donned red hats bearing the same message as Trump Jr. spoke of his father’s accomplishments. Some chose not to wear face masks, even amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“You have president who created the highest number of new startup businesses for women, for African Americans, for Hispanics, for every demographic,” Trump said.

A recent Florida Atlantic University Business and Economics Polling Initiative poll showed Biden holding a 51% to 47% lead over President Trump in Florida.
Echoing themes his father has put forth during national TV appearances, the younger Trump described Biden as “camouflage” for the Democrats to pursue a “radical agenda.”
“This is not your grandparent’s Democrat Party any more,” Trump said. “This is not your parents’ Democrat Party. This Democrat Party no longer represents hard-working men and woman of this country. “
He attacked Biden’s record as a U.S. senator and vice president under President Barack Obama.
“You compare (my father’s) 47 months to Joe Biden’s 47 years in office, and it ain’t even close,” he said.
