The Aiken Symphony Orchestra performed a haunting concert recently at the the Center for African American History, Art and Culture.
The concert, sponsored by Bank of America, featured musicians from ASO performing some of their spooky favorites. Costumed patrons enjoyed festive decorations, yummy treats and somber music that set the mood and created the perfect Halloween atmosphere.
Juanita Campbell, executive director of CAAHAC, gave tours of the center during the event.
“I was pleased to have the opportunity to work with the Aiken Symphony Orchestra on this outreach project and so very thankful to Bank of America for funding this concert,” Campbell said when asked about the partnership of the two organizations. “Our patrons enjoyed the concert and we look forward to our next joint event in February.”
ASO’s Wendy Hirsch said Bank of America’s generosity made the concert possible.
“We are so very thankful for their continued sponsorship of the Aiken Symphony Orchestra and invite the entire Aiken community to join us at the Center for African American History, Art and Culture again in February as together we celebrate Black History Month,” said Hirsch.
