DEAR EDITOR:
It is time that we decide that all lives matter, regardless of race, religion, nationality, unborn fetuses and political party. It is when we think that all people are the same that we treat them the same. The sins of Democrats and Republicans should be legally treated the same. At this time in our society, they are not. The Democrats have gotten away with anything short of murder since the Clintons and Obamas have been in office.
President Trump was criticized every day of his four-year term, even though unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities and those without a high school diploma reached record lows. He lifted nearly 7 million people off food stamps. Poverty rates for African-Americans and Hispanic-Americans reached record lows. Income inequality fell for two straight years by the largest amount in over a decade. The bottom 50 percent of American households saw a 40 percent increase in net worth. Wages rose fastest for low-income households and blue-collar workers — a 16 percent pay increase.
If I had room in this letter, I would have printed 25 pages of his accomplishments. I will finish with two others. He created more than 1.2 million manufacturing and construction jobs. The Dow closed above 20,000 for the first time in 2017 and topped 30,000 in 2020.
Please let all lives matter, and let Democrats and Republicans be treated equally.
