Nationwide — Autumn Lockwood, a 29-year-old Sports Conditioning Coach with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, will make history as the first Black woman to ever coach in the Super Bowl.

Lockwood, who is also a former soccer player, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

She joined the Eagles in August 2022. She is now set to serve as an assistant coach to the Eagles when the team competes with the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. This is her first season with the Eagles.

Prior to that, Lockwood served as the coordinator of sports performance at the University of Houston. She also worked at the University of Nevada Las Vegas as a strength & conditioning assistant.
