“We have living history right here in our community,” Kirsten Wolff, WESH 2′s news director, said in a press release. “Blacks who have lived through segregation, the civil rights movement of the ’60s and the social injustices that continue to this day. We have a duty to seek out and record their stories so we can learn from the past and work to improve the future — for all of us.”
