Nationwide — College Dudes Help U Move, Inc., a Charlotte-based Black-owned moving company, has announced that they have opened a new location in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Located at 1001 Navaho Drive, Suite 211, Raleigh, NC 27609, the new office is centrally located in uptown Raleigh and allows the company to better serve their customers in the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). Founder and CEO Abraham Cannon states that he expects to have about 25-30 people working out of their new location. The location also will serve customers within a 60-mile radius of Raleigh.

Customers today have a lot of different options when it comes to finding a reputable moving company, Cannon stated the professional approach – along with a proven model to consistently produce 5-star moves- wins approval from customers time and time again.

“When [people] hear ‘College Dudes Help U Move,’ they hear they have a great reputation,” Cannon said. “They call us because our reputation is so strong. In fact, we recently won Angie’s List Super Service Award, which recognizes us as one of the top movers in our market based on customer reviews.”

He continued, “We work very hard to treat each move with a high degree of professionalism. We teach our crews why it’s so important to show up to the move on time. Make sure that each box truck is equipped with the proper tools and equipment to ensure a seamless and stress-free move. Be polite and courteous to the customer, wear your uniform. Keep your pants pulled up, and move the customers’ belongings with care.”

The professional approach starts with the companies proprietary 5-star move process, a system that Abraham Cannon created to ensure that each move meets minimum standards and has quality checks throughout to ensure that the move is completed the same way each time.

“Every team member is dressed professionally and in uniform, background-checked and drug-screened,” Cannon said. “We don’t send anyone into someone’s house until they’ve been background-checked and drug-screened.”

College Dudes Help U Move, Inc. is one of the largest independently owned moving companies in North Carolina, according to its website. The company has about 100 employees and a large fleet of company-branded 20 and 26-foot box trucks.

“We’ve had a tremendous amount of success with our brand. Our business and operations model, along with our leadership team has enabled us to have rapid success in the markets we serve,” said Hannibal Colbert, Chief Operations Officer of the company. Colbert attributes the company’s rapid expansion and strong growth largely to customer service performance and process.

“The brand is resonating with people that are looking for a reputable company to help them with one of the most stressful times of their life-moving,” he added.
