MISSOULA — About three weeks into the new year and that resolution to get healthy is getting harder.

People looking for a change might want to check out the Holiday Village shopping center in Missoula where you will find gyms, salons as well as a new shop that is ready to help you get healthy.

“The product we use are the Herbalife products. We’ve been around 40 years. We’re in over 90 countries around the world. We’re tried and true and actually, we own most of our own fields, most of our own manufacturing, so we know from seed to feed, what’s in that canister, and what you’re going to put in your body,” Elevate Life Nutrition owner John Tartol.

Elevate Life Nutrition features healthy meal shakes teas and aloe drinks.

When it comes to finally getting healthy — or facing any challenge for that matter — Elevate Life Nutrition is the ultimate guide.

Tartol and his wife opened their doors in August of 2020 and along the way they faced some challenges.

“In August when we opened up the shop, in the same week, we moved into a new house,” Tartol told MTN News. “Three days within moving into the house, our sewage line was never correctly connected, so our entire house got flooded with sewage water.”

“We had to then kind of move out of it, stay in a hotel for a month while running the new brand-new business, and move back into the house,” he laughed.

They also have a baby on the way. It seems like a risky time to open a new business, but not according to Tartol.

“As soon as a pandemic started you know the first thing that popped into my head was opportunity. I said one, ‘we’re in America we’re strong we’re going to get through this’,” Tartol said. “Two, people are going to need health and nutrition more than ever now.

You don’t have to be a health nut to take advantage of the shop. In fact, elevate life nutrition prides itself on the array of customers it serves.

“We are always coming over to elevate like nutrition for our protein shakes and teas for African Americans,” one customer said.

“Vitamins, energy, you name it, they have. So, I’ve pretty much tried everything,” another customer commented. “Every time I come; I try something different.

“I can’t say that it’s one type of person. We’ve got gym people. We’ve got people who want their Green Machine GMO free organic shakes. And I’ve got people who want their peanut butter Oreo cheesecake, but it’s still healthy — and under 300 calories,” Tartol said.

“I’ve got the high school kids. I’ve got the 70-year-old seniors. I’ve got everybody because what we have everybody needs,” he continued. “It’s just health and nutrition that tastes good.
