Flossmoor To Highlight STEM Professionals For Black History Month

FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Village of Flossmoor is seeking nominations of professionals in the STEM field for highlighting during Black History Month.

The Village seems nominations of Black professionals with a career in the field of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM). In recognition of Black History Month, the Village will highlight community members who have contributed to the world of STEM.

“Black History Month is a time to honor the struggles, triumphs and excellence of African Americans and their allies in our community,” the Village wrote on its website. “Join the Village of Flossmoor in celebrating Black History Month by nominating Flossmoor residents in the STEM career field who have made an impact on the greater community, whether directly or indirectly.”

Nominations should be submitted online by February 1, with profiles to be select profiles to be displayed throughout the month of February.
