Nationwide — Meet Deanna Jones, a former foster child and teen parent from Columbus, Ohio, who despite life’s adversities, managed to successfully graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and earn a Master’s degree from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Now, at 38-years old, she is the co-founder of a successful hair and beauty supply store and has released a new book, Life After Detour – a how-to guide that helps others cultivate resilience despite any “detour” that they are encountering in their life. After being forced to drop out of high school, she earned her GED went on to become part of the 3% of foster youth in the U.S. who obtain a Bachelor’s degree.
