The Louisville Urban League is celebrating 100 years of service in the city.The nonprofit’s mission is to assist African Americans and other marginalized populations in attaining social and economic equality through direct services and advocacy.The organization is hosting a Back-to-School Bash and Youth Business Pop-Up Shop on July 30. They will be giving away 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies. It’s also an opportunity to showcase youth-owned businesses and organizations offering free educational resources to students and families.The event is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center on West Muhammad Ali Boulevard.
