Nationwide — 10 Nubian Queens & 5 Kings Media, a Black family-owned media company, has launched an animated children’s book and short film series for 5 to 10-year olds called Izem Meets Officer Joe that teaches young children to deal with police encounters. The series, written by its CEO, Attorney Zulu Ali, is part of the company’s efforts to focus on Black family and social justice content in film, radio, theater, music, and book publishing.

The series was created by Ali, an award-winning trial lawyer and principal of The Law Offices of Zulu Ali & Associates, LLP (ZuluAliLaw.com), and company directors Christine Ali Moore and Ashley Ali Perkins.

The book is scheduled to be released on October 31, 2020, and made available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and other book outlets. The animated short film is scheduled to be released on Amazon Prime, iTunes Movies, and Google Play on December 25, 2020.

Ali comments, “The focus of the series is to educate our children on subjects that impact and empower our community. Other children’s animated books and short films focusing on topics such as financial literacy, law, Black history, and civics are scheduled to be released in January 2021.”
