Jones is the CEO of Issachar Solution Consultancy LLC where he is responsible for creating innovation for churches, businesses, entrepreneurs and for those seeking a curriculum for long-term significance and success. As a trainer and published author, he has created and tailored curriculum for leadership groups, both secular and religious.
Jones founded Vision City in Warren. He holds a doctorate in ministry and a master’s of theology from Southern Bible Institute and Seminary in Augusta, Ga.

ANNIVERSARY SET: St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St., Warren, will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a two-day event today and Sunday. Today will be Great Vespers at St. Demetrios Church at 4:30 p.m., with His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburgh officiating, along with beloved Fathers Costa Valantasis and Demetri Constantine. The celebration will continue 6 p.m. at the St. Demetrios Community Center. There will be a program with remarks from distinguished guests and musical entertainment featuring renowned singer and performer Dimitri Mpasis.
On Sunday, Orthos will begin at 8:45 a.m. at St. Demetrios Church followed by the Arch-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m., which will be officiated by Elpidophoros. Following Divine Liturgy, the parish community will host a reception at the church hall.
APPRECIATION NIGHT: Trumbull County Children Services and North Mar Church are partnering to host a Foster Caregiver Appreciation event in Trumbull County. It is by invitation only to foster caregivers from Trumbull County Children Services and Cadence Care Network. The event will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at North Mar Church in Warren.
GUEST SPEAKER: The Rev. Nicholas D. Hull of the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God will preach 11 a.m. Sunday at Elim Christian Center, 3214 Ridge Road, Warren. He began his ministry under the leadership of Pastor David Howard Jr., of the Hiawatha Church of God In Christ. Hull began his public ministry preaching in youth services as the inspirational speaker until Jan. 22, 2017, when he became an “official” minister in his local congregation. He works with hospice as a chaplain as well as volunteers at the local prison, and is an active evangelist sharing the gospel message. He is the founder of Make An IMPACT Inc.
GREAT I AM: Pleasant Valley Church, Liberty, will host “Worship the Great I Am” Nov. 4 to 6 presented by the ICE Jerusalem and the church. The event will include live worship, speakers and seminars. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: A celebration of life event will be 2 p.m. Nov. 13 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. The program is “Wrapped in God’s Arms.” Canfield resident Jeff Fusco will share his story of surviving a severe case of COVID-19 and Jeanette Levellie, a speaker and author, will talk of near-death experiences and how God was at people’s sides. MUSICAL SEEKS MEMBERS: Trinity Baptist Church, 235 Highland Ave. SW, Warren, is inviting individuals to be part of a musical 6 p.m. Nov. 12, featuring Bishop Leo Ferguson, minister of music. The program will be “Sounds of Heaven Community Concert.”
Those interested in participating can attend rehearsals 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11, and 10 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 12. Anyone who loves to sing is invited.

GUEST SPEAKER: The Jericho Center in Bazetta will host guest speaker Gilbert Hovsepian at 9:15 a.m. Nov. 5. Hovsepian was born in Iran. His father was the superintendent of the Iranian Assemblies of God churches in Iran. He came to the United States in 1999 after his father’s death and now resides in California. Hovsepian has recorded and produced several Christian albums.
TRUNK OR TREAT: Braceville Christian Church, near the township hall, will host a trunk or treat 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Grace AME Church, 1137 Main St. SE, Warren, will host a trunk or treat 5 to 7 p.m. Monday. Warren Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., will host an event 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
NIGHT OF HOPE: Second Baptist Church “A House of Hope” and Trumbull County Children Services will host a “Night of Hope 2022” featuring Grammy-nominated Gospel singer, songwriter and producer, JJ Hairston. The concert will be 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at Second Baptist Church “A House of Hope,” 1510 Main Ave. SW in Warren. This event celebrating the 106th anniversary of the church’s founding will serve as an evening of advocacy for youth and families, focusing on foster care and adoption in Trumbull County. Presentations by Trumbull County Children Services will highlight the great need for displaced children to find homes, especially among African- American populations.
This is the fifth year the church has hosted Night of Hope. The event is free.
BIBLE STUDY: Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley offers Bible study open to the public at 6 p.m. Wednesdays studying the book of Revelation. CEO John Muckridge III will lead a Bible Study through the book of Revelation. Study sessions are 45 minutes. Attendance is free and there is no registration required.
